Job Summary
Special Education and Student Services Program Director for ABA leads district-wide Applied Behavior Analysis programs for students in K-12+. Oversees ABA Specialists, provides supervision and performance evaluation, and collaborates with school leaders and clinical staff to ensure high-quality ABA interventions. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations for eligibility for ABA services, attending Annual Reviews, planning district-wide professional development (Safety Care, Behavior Management Series, 10 hours of ABA-related training annually), hiring/onboarding/supervising ABA Specialists, reviewing progress reports, analyzing data to tailor curricula, developing student-specific guidelines and reinforcers, disseminating family resources, coordinating with community supports and insurance information, and handling ESY-related administrative duties. Requires a Master's degree in a related field, BCBA, state licensure in MA, and at least two years of supervisory experience in ABA programs, with strong skills in assessments, IEP/ABA planning, and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Education, Psychology or a related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst through the state of Massachusetts
- At least two (2) years experience developing and supervising ABA intervention programs
- At least two (2) years experience supervising direct service providers
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in completing standardized assessments, Functional Behavior Assessments, data collection and report writing
- Experience in the development of Behavior Support Plans and Individualized Curriculum Plans (DTT, task analysis, incidental teaching strategies, etc.)
- Experience and/or knowledge in Special Education Law and the IEP process
- Effective written and oral communication skills with students, families, teachers and administrators
- Demonstrated growth toward cultural competence
