Job Summary
Special Education Aide provides classroom support to teachers and students, assists in delivering instruction, adapts instructional materials, and helps maintain a safe, orderly environment. Responsibilities include supporting IEP goals, preparing teaching aids, helping with grading, field trips, library activities, and ensuring proper movement and supervision of students. Requires strong teamwork, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and staff. Minimum education: high school diploma or GED; role is full-time and entry-level within a school setting.
Required Qualifications
- Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or GED
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to learn and use specialized instructional/management techniques as needed
