Job Summary
Assist classroom teachers and special education staff with daily student supports, including academic, behavioral, and self-help tasks aligned with IEP goals. Provide direct assistance with activities such as catheterization, toileting, and behavior plan implementation while maintaining accurate records and logs. Facilitate enrichment opportunities like field trips and community involvement, ensuring a positive classroom climate for students with diverse needs. Work under the supervision of the Building Principal or Director of Teaching and Learning to deliver supplemental support in both special and general education settings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate Degree or 60 hours from an approved college, preferred
- Has the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Abide by FERPA confidentiality laws in handling student and family information
- Candidate must pass all required state and federal background checks

- Exhibits a pleasant, positive attitude and caring demeanor
- Shows willingness to participate and learn new things and to participate in scheduled workshops or professional development programs
