Job Summary
Provide one-on-one support to students with multiple disabilities, including assisting with personal care tasks like changing soiled diapers. Manage non-verbal and verbal students in a classroom setting while maintaining exceptional attendance and punctuality. Lift and bend safely to handle student needs. This role requires passing a state and federal background check, holding or obtaining a valid Educational Aide Permit with the Ohio Department of Education, and meeting physical demands involving standing, walking, and reaching. Candidates must have 48 college semester hours, 72 quarter hours, an associate degree, or a passed Ohio Paraprofessional test.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a State and Federal Background Check
- Must hold (able to obtain) a valid Educational Aide Permit with Ohio Department Of Education
- Experience working with 1:1 students
- Experience in changing soiled diapers if needed
- Exceptional attendance and punctuality
- Experience working in multiple disabilities classroom a plus
- Experience working with non-verbal & verbal students
- Strong student management skills
- Ability to lift & bend with students
- 48 College semester hours
- 72 College quarter hours
- Associate Degree
- Passed the Ohio Paraprofessional test
- Valid Educational Aide Permit with Ohio Department Of Education
