Job Summary
Special Education Aide provides instructional support to students, assisting individually or in small groups, coordinating with classroom teachers, maintaining student focus, assisting with materials, and helping with non-academic activities; duties include assisting with personal hygiene tasks and supporting the teacher in meeting individual student needs as part of the instructional team.
Required Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree or, two (2) years college credit or, completion of 1,000 hours in the past year as a paraprofessional or successful completion of ParaPro Assessment Test.
