Job Summary
Assist special education teachers in preparing instructional materials, maintaining classroom order, and managing administrative records. Support students with disabilities by facilitating transfers, personal care, and behavior management, including intervening in crisis situations. Supervise students throughout the school day, covering lunchroom, bus, and playground duties, while developing motor skills through assigned exercises. Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff development training as assigned. This role requires a valid Texas educational aide certificate, high school diploma, and ability to work with children with disabilities.
Required Qualifications

- Valid Texas educational aide certificate
- Ability to work with children with disabilities
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Some experience working with children
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
- Regular heavy lifting of students
- Biological exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases
