Job Summary
Assist classroom teacher in helping students achieve academic, social, and behavioral goals; provide individual or small-group support under supervision, data collection, and supervision of students with special needs; duties include assisting with personal hygiene, restroom assistance, and facilitating data collection; requires on-site presence, bilingual preference, and may require training in crisis intervention; 8:00am–2:30pm schedule with 6.25 hours/day during a nine-month school year; starting pay $18.40/hour; 9-month, non-exempt, part-time paraeducator position.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work on-site
- Hourly nine-month position
- Bilingual preferred or highly desirable
- Possession of or ability to obtain required trainings (e.g., Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training)
- Ability to assist in classroom and with students including lifting and support as needed
