Job Summary
Special Education Aide- 1:1 supports scholars with disabilities by assisting in planning, implementing, and evaluating instructional and behavioral strategies alongside certified teachers. Responsibilities include presenting lessons, assisting with instruction and materials, supporting transportation and field trips, supervising students, aiding in adaptive daily living and self-care needs, assisting with pool activities under supervision, maintaining records and documentation, and modeling professional, respectful interaction with staff, students, families, and the community. Requires dependable attendance and the ability to work in various conditions; preferred Bachelor's degree. Required Qualifications
- Completed a minimum of 60 college credits earned; or obtained an associate’s or higher degree; or obtained a passing score on an MDE approved ETS Paraprofessional assessment.
