Job Summary
Special Education (Academic Support) Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at PVPA. Responsibilities include providing specialized instruction per student IEPs, managing support services, maintaining a safe learning environment, preparing materials, communicating with parents, collaborating with teachers on accommodations and strategies, providing feedback on academic and social expectations, supporting students on assignments, attending team meetings, writing IEPs, producing progress reports, and providing testing accommodations. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and Certification in Special Education 9-12 (or ability to obtain within one year). The position entails 180 school days plus professional development days, with a 35-hour work week and approximately three class blocks per day of collaborative/independent work time. Salary range: $43,268 to $68,719 annually, with potential $1,000 DESE license stipend and year-end bonus potential.
