Job Summary
Plan a program of study meeting individual student needs and prepare for assigned classes. Encourage students to maintain classroom behavior standards while implementing district educational goals. Maintain accurate student records, supervise teacher aides, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with parents and multidisciplinary teams. Assist administration with student life policies, differentiate instruction for students with disabilities, and participate in staff meetings and committees. Work proactively with general educators to adapt teaching techniques and develop transition plans for postsecondary success.
Required Qualifications
- South Carolina certification or eligible for appropriate certification
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong background in technology skills and applications
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
