Special Education- 1:1 Teacher Assistant

Special Education 1:1 Teacher Aide at Addison Trail High School provides one-on-one instructional support to at-risk SPED students under the supervision of a classroom teacher. Responsibilities include adapting activities and materials, administering basic health support, assisting with daily logs and behavior plans (IEP-driven), modeling appropriate social and classroom behaviors, monitoring schedules and safety, delivering instruction under direction, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and health professionals to implement IEP goals. The role emphasizes maintaining a safe, positive learning environment, data/documentation, and supporting inclusion in the mainstream classroom as appropriate. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and an educator-paraprofessional license or higher.
