Job Summary
Conduct individualized academic instruction and implement behavioral management programs for students ages 12-16, focusing on executive function and social-emotional skills. Create and execute creative, hands-on lesson plans while collaborating with classroom teachers to differentiate curriculum and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to monitor student progress, maintain safe classroom environments, and provide coverage for lunch, recess, and field trips. Communicate regularly with families to involve them in the educational program and assist with appropriate family activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- knowledge in field of designated assignment or subject (special education)
- Massachusetts Educator Licensure in Moderate Disabilities
- Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer with the ability to learn new software applications

- Previous experience working in education
- Previous experience working with program-specific population of students
