Job Summary
Communicate learning goals using clear, precise language and prepare instruction tailored to diverse student abilities, interests, and behavior needs. Create lesson plans aligned with State and District standards, leverage available technology to enhance learning, and implement Individual Education Plans based on research-based best practices. Use assessment data to improve instruction, establish routines for a positive environment, and document behavior and attendance issues. Facilitate team reviews of academic progress, participate in intervention processes, and assume legal supervision responsibility for students on school property. Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district policies and safety precautions.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in Special Education (EC-12)
- Valid Special Education credential in Texas
- Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration with Special Education
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office and Google products)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast paced environment
- Team player track record
