Special Ed. Resource Teacher (2026-2027)

Provide students with appropriate face-to-face instruction in the assigned academic subject area to foster their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development. May offer distance or virtual learning options when required to accommodate individual needs and ensure continuity of instruction. Develop and implement lesson plans; collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD; implement instructional and/or skill-development programs; plan and use instructional strategies and resources for distance/virtual/face-to-face learning; work with classroom teachers to modify curricula; participate in ARD meetings; assess learning styles and plan activities; present subject matter per IEP guidelines; employ varied instructional techniques and media; supervise teacher aides/volunteers; use technology and blended learning; conduct pre/post assessments; ensure safety and confidentiality; comply with district and state policies for special education; communicate with parents and staff via multiple channels; provide staff development and parent training as needed; and perform other duties as assigned.
