Job Summary
Special Ed Aide (CLP) assists the teacher and students in a special education setting, providing one-on-one or small-group support, helping with academic tasks, and implementing behavioral plans. Responsibilities include assisting with reading, writing, math, spelling, and life skills; supporting CPI-enabled behavior management, monitoring and redirecting student behavior, assisting with personal needs, data collection related to behavior and academics, and assisting with bus duty. Requires high school diploma or equivalent; strong communication, adaptability, and patience are essential. Work hours are 8:48am–3:39pm, Clinton Township, MI.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children
- Experience working with special education students (preferred)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a variety of teaching skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to complete any necessary training
