Special Credits Director

Job Summary
Lead and guide a team of Special Credits Officers within Commercial Solutions to manage a portfolio of stressed and distressed credits for automobile dealership relationships. Develop and present strategies to senior management on distressed situations, engage with borrowers, advisors, and counsel to optimize repayment exposure, secure additional collateral, and restructure facilities. Provide expertise on credit issues, bankruptcy, and policy, and oversee credit surveillance, valuations for reserving and charge-off analysis, and forecasting of non-performing loans. Build and maintain cross-organizational partnerships, mentor and train the team, and ensure timely submission of credit packages while balancing multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field
- 10+ years’ commercial banking / lending experience including extensive commercial credit experience
- Commercial banking / asset-based lending/automotive captive experience, with thorough knowledge of accounting and financial statement analysis
- Superior analytical skills supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the Bank's policies and procedures, as well as its products and their inherent risks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Recognized leadership capacities and executive presence
- Experience in supervision of employees
- Demonstrated judgment and ability to act decisively
