Job Summary
Provide backup care for disabled or elderly clients by performing companionship, meal prep, housekeeping, and personal care tasks. Monitor health changes, administer medicine reminders, and ensure client safety while maintaining a clean environment. Work independently in client homes across various schedules, including weekends and holidays, with limited supervision. Maintain a valid driver's license and own a registered vehicle with liability insurance. Pass a criminal background screening and adhere to all applicable healthcare laws and privacy statutes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months working experience as a caregiver
- Enrollment in a vocational education program
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant
- Pass a criminal background screening
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Flexibility to service several different clients a day
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to work on weekends and holidays
- Compliance with applicable healthcare laws and statutes (local, state, and/or federal)
- Valid driver's license
- Ownership of a legally registered vehicle
- Vehicle with minimum liability insurance coverage
- Age of 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
