Job Summary
Provide backup care for disabled or elderly clients when permanent caregivers are unavailable, ensuring safety through basic techniques. Perform companionship, conversation, meal prep, housekeeping, laundry, and personal care while reminding clients of medicine and monitoring health changes. Maintain the client environment and adhere to healthcare laws regarding privacy. Work independently in client homes with limited supervision, managing multiple clients daily and covering weekends and holidays. Hold a valid driver's license with proper insurance and pass a criminal background screening.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months working experience as a caregiver
- Enrolled in a vocational education program
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Pass a criminal background screening
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Flexibility to service several different clients a day
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to work on weekends and holidays
- Compliance with applicable healthcare laws and statutes (local, state, and/or federal)
- Valid driver's license
- Own a legally registered vehicle
- Vehicle holds minimum liability insurance coverage
- 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Equivalent experience
