Job Summary
Update existing equipment on the production floor to current lock out tag out (LOTO) requirements and conduct safety and environmental audits to identify hazards. Coordinate safety activities with production departments, attend pre-production trials for machinery checks, and communicate safety topics to employees via meetings. Investigate safety accidents, implement countermeasures, and perform basic first aid. Conduct and document job hazard assessments, track the Safety Notification Program, and work with management to close open items. Interact directly with machine engineering and maintenance groups while performing limited travel to TGMS & TGNAI.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree, related training, or hands on manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and procedures
- Ability to write emails and simple reports
- Ability to conduct accident interviews and speak in front of fellow employees
- Ability to measure distances, add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Basic computer skills for Microsoft Outlook, Word, and extensive use of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision
- Color vision
- Ability to regularly talk or hear
- Ability to frequently stand
- Ability to frequently walk
- Ability to frequently sit
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
