Job Summary
Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher to deliver differentiated instruction in a collaborative model, co-teach with general education, implement individual behavioral intervention plans, manage classrooms, provide accommodations, develop and monitor IEPs, and analyze data to tailor instruction. Requires Indiana Special Education license in Mild Disabilities/Intervention and Highly Qualified; experience with IEPs, formative assessments, and collaborating with families and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- State of Indiana Special Education License in Mild Disabilities/Intervention and must be Highly Qualified
- Experience completing IEPs
- Differentiated instruction experience
- Experience using formative assessments to guide reading instruction
- Experience with behavioral intervention plans
- Co-teaching with general education teacher
- Classroom management
- Knowledge of instructional strategies for students receiving special education services
- Experience analyzing data to differentiate instruction
- Experience collaborating with colleagues to improve instruction
