Job Summary
Operate and monitor distillation equipment, vacuum systems, pumps, heat exchangers, and utilities while tracking process parameters through DCS systems. Troubleshoot process, equipment, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and assist in startup, shutdown, and process optimization activities. Support preventive maintenance, coordinate with maintenance teams during servicing, and monitor project installations for compliance. Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental procedures. Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate plant records. Requires hands-on experience in distillation and chemical process plants, including DCS/PLC systems, with a willingness to work normal shifts, rotation shifts, and on-call duties during trial runs or emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant hands-on experience in distillation, vacuum systems, or chemical process plants
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting distillation systems
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting vacuum systems
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting pumps and heat exchangers
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting DCS/PLC systems
- Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings and process flow diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work on shifts, during plant shutdowns, projects and commissioning activities when required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in distillation, vacuum systems, chemical processing, oleochemical, biodiesel, or related process industries
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
