Job Summary
Field Account Specialist with Sterile Processing focus responsible for bridging SPD and OR teams, optimizing tray workflows and instrument readiness, and providing on-site system utilization support. Key duties include managing trays/instruments, identifying opportunities to improve turnaround times and efficiency, training SPD techs and OR staff, tracking setup time and processing efficiency, supporting vendor tray optimization initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships with SPD leadership, OR staff, and hospital stakeholders. Requires 5+ years in SPD/Central Services/OR, strong sterilization/process knowledge, hands-on equipment troubleshooting, excellent organizational and communication skills, and willingness to travel locally. Preferred certifications include CRCST/CBSPD/CST and an Associate’s degree.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in SPD, Central Services, Surgical Services, OR, or related clinical settings
- Strong understanding of sterile processing workflows and tray/instrument management
- Hands-on comfort with equipment and basic mechanical or technical troubleshooting
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Willingness to travel locally/regionally and work flexible schedules
