Job Summary
Cultural Resources Technicians will be responsible for identifying, excavating, and recording potential archaeological sites while adhering to state standards. Responsibilities include excavating and screening archaeological materials, accurately completing field forms, recording soils, using a compass for navigation, clearing brush, and performing other assigned duties. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and up to three years of experience in cultural resource management, along with strong communication skills and familiarity with archaeological techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors (or higher) degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field
- 1-3 year’s cultural resource management experience in North America
- Experience in archaeological field excavation techniques
- Excellent communication and note-taking skills
- Conversant with historic and/or precontact material culture
- Willingness to travel using independent means of transportation
