Job Summary
Lead legal support across Spark's institutional products, including SparkLend, Spark Prime, and Spark Savings, by drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial agreements with banks, custodians, and asset managers. Structure strategic partnerships and build scalable contracting processes to accelerate commercial execution while advising leadership on transaction structures and legal risk. Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions, oversee intellectual property strategy, and develop legal risk management frameworks for AML/KYC, sanctions, and third-party risk. Advise on corporate governance, DAO frameworks, and regulatory compliance initiatives as we expand our on-chain lending and savings infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of legal experience
- significant in-house experience
- Qualified lawyer in a major jurisdiction (US, UK, EU or equivalent)
- Experience supporting high-growth technology or financial services businesses
- Strong background negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Experience advising executive leadership on strategic legal matters
