Spare Driver - Roll Off

Job Summary
Operate roll-off truck and ancillary equipment to collect waste on assigned routes while maintaining clean vehicle standards and accurate service records. Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, daily reports, and route sheets as requested by supervisors. Fill in for full-time drivers during absences, vacations, or peak business periods to ensure operational coverage. Maintain route quality standards and follow all safety precautions in performance of duties. Report all accidents or incidents to supervisors immediately and exhibit a professional demeanor at all times. Work closely with the supervisor to improve routing efficiencies and attend required safety and branch meetings. Maintain open availability for dispatch seven days a week on an on-call basis. Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with manual transmission and one to two years of transportation sector experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Availability Requirement: Please note that this is an on-call position. To ensure operational coverage, the successful candidate must maintain open availability for dispatch 7 days a week.
- License Requirement: Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with manual transmission
- 1–2 years of driving experience in a transportation sector
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work on-call with short notice
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
- Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.
