Job Summary
Spanish Teacher at Great Lakes Learning Academy responsible for virtual management of instructional programs from East Lansing or home office. Deliver asynchronous and synchronous instruction, manage grading and progress reports, conduct parent conferences, develop and update Personal Learning Plans, collaborate with other teachers and staff, maintain student records, coordinate enrichment activities and field trips, participate in State Testing and student recruitment efforts, and support families through regular communication while working both remotely and on-site as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified and certified to teach the appropriate subject in Michigan
- Michigan Residency preferred
- Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Highly organized and punctual
- Student and family focused approach
- Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with ability to collaborate with students, parents, staff, and community members
- Travel to and attend in-person events, including State Testing, as determined by the school; may require overnight travel
- Ability to work remotely if necessary
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
