Spanish Teacher

Job Summary
Teach Spanish according to curriculum guidelines while further developing and refining a high-level, challenging curriculum to meet student needs. Collaborate with faculty to implement inquiry-based instruction, facilitate restorative problem resolution, and conduct continuous, objective student assessments. Design project-based expeditions and family workshops with administration, hold conferences consistent with school guidelines, and participate in all professional development and staff meetings. Demonstrate awareness of community needs and initiate activities to address them, performing additional projects as directed by the principal.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in applicable field of study/education from an accredited college or university
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the teaching and learning process and expertise in specific content area
- Classroom teaching experience
- Demonstrated experience working with challenge groups in a standards-based environment, including utilizing assessments to place students, flexible pacing, flexible instruction, grouping and regrouping, acceleration, enrichment, and independent study to meet student needs
- Demonstrated success in effectively solving challenging problems through a positive, collaborative approach
- A strong sense of personal accountability for student achievement
