Job Summary
Report to the Front Desk upon arrival and implement lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher while maintaining established classroom routines. Monitor student behavior during transitions and activities, take daily attendance, and maintain necessary records. Communicate with the regular classroom teacher or administration regarding student progress or concerns, ensuring the classroom is clean and organized at day's end. Follow all school policies and procedures applicable to regular teachers. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. This is an on-call, as-needed position with daily and hourly rates based on licensure status.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university
- A valid Colorado Department of Education Substitute Authorization or Teacher License
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to follow lesson plans effectively
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and student needs
- Professionalism
- Reliability
- Positive attitude toward teaching and student engagement
- Regular attendance
