Job Summary
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife/Takeda responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory results (SPE) and notifying unsuitable findings; provides center-level support for EHS and follows Center Physician guidance; supports vaccination programs for employees; collaborates with Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure donor safety and regulatory compliance; requires a valid LPN/LVN license, CPR/AED, basic IV therapy competency, and prior clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, recognized nursing program
- Currently licensed or certified in the state (LPN or LVN)
- CPR and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
