Job Summary
Provide Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) duties including determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results. Operates under the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and Center Physician for medical guidance; supports environmental, health and safety (EHS) activities; participates in vaccination programs for employees; ensures adherence to SOPs and donor safety; may act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS; requires EMT-Paramedic certification, CPR/AED, and state IV therapy qualifications with approximately two years of clinical experience; offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate nursing program with state requirements
- EMT-Paramedic
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
