Job Summary
Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training to increase language, communication, and social skills. Follow prescribed behavioral protocols outlined in client treatment plans and collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior. Assist with parent and caregiver training, ensure documentation is completed on time, and effectively communicate client progress to families. Utilize safe procedures when working with clients, report critical incidents, and maintain a clean, organized therapy environment. Assist BCBA/BC in preparing client materials and behavior reduction assessments. Work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a minimum high school diploma and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Willingness to complete a 40 hour training course and sit for their RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment
- Minimum of a High School Diploma of GED
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of driver's license
- Valid car insurance
- At least 18 years of age
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain a TB test
- Ability to physically perform the job including getting down on the floor and standing up many times
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to run/move quickly if required
- Reliability to show up for each scheduled therapy appointment
- Professional presentation and conduct
- Patience to help keep clients on task
- Ability to maintain emotional control even if a client's acting out physically or verbally
- Positive attitude and drive to help a child acquire new skills
- Strong attention to detail with ability to do repetitive things in a precise manner
- Ability to follow and carry out detailed instructions
- Strong understanding of technology to be able to record data on a mobile device and navigate digital applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong cultural competency with ability to remain flexible and open minded
- Willingness to participate in the company's background check process
