Job Summary
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Work one-on-one with children using evidence-based techniques, managing unpredictable situations that may involve lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical movements like squatting, kneeling, and carrying objects. Complete daily tasks with patience and compassion, ensuring meaningful impact on children's lives and their families. Comprehensive training is provided to equip candidates for this role.
Required Qualifications
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
