Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one behavior intervention with children with autism, implementing individualized plans under BCBA guidance to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting objects or children weighing up to 50 pounds. Maintain patient, compassionate engagement in a team environment to support clients in reaching their full potential. Requires bilingual Spanish fluency and CPR/First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Bilingual in Spanish
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working as a: Behavioral Technician, Working in some capacity with children with autism or other learning disabilities, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver or Home Health Aide
