Job Summary
Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation and translate, transcribe, and analyze printed materials and audio files into grammatical American English. Deliver analysis and reporting on translated foreign language source material while performing quality control for junior linguists. Maintain databases of translated source material and scan intercepted data to determine pertinence to mission requirements. Support CONUS and/or OCONUS government operations with up to 25% travel outside the continental US. This role enables the utilization of linguistic and analytical skills for mission-driven government work within a high-performing team dedicated to national safety.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
- Ability to pass an advanced English test
- Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
- Minimum five (5) years' professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation
- Demonstrate strong language interpretation skills, with the ability to accurately render spoken and written communications in a clear, concise, and contextually appropriate manner
- In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas
- Master use of MS Office and internet research
- Willing to TDY to any location

- Previous military experience
- Has good understanding of one or more regional dialects
- Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation abilities
