Job Summary
Plan and implement a grade-level content and Spanish language program tailored to individual student needs within a 50/50 dual language setting. Create a safe, culturally responsive classroom environment that nurtures academic, linguistic, and social-emotional growth for diverse learners. Collaborate effectively to meet the varied needs of students in the Amherst Public School District's Dual Language program. Full-time, school-year position requiring a valid Massachusetts K-6 license and full bilingual proficiency to teach all content in Spanish.
Required Qualifications

- ability to plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students in acquiring grade level content knowledge and Spanish Language skills
- ability to create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that is conducive to learning
- ability to develop students' academic, language, and social-emotional skills
- ability to reflect the cultures of the student population
- ability to effectively collaborate to meet diverse student needs
- valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as K-6 teacher
- full bilingualism
- ability to teach all content in Spanish
