Job Summary
This is a full-time remote position as an English-Spanish Experienced Medical Interpreter in a blended OPI & VRI environment. The interpreter provides accurate consecutive interpretation over the phone and via video between English and Spanish in medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings, facilitating communication between healthcare providers and patients to ensure understanding and quality care. The role requires medical interpretation certification, fluency in English and Spanish, HIPAA compliance, and remote interpretation experience in both languages. Equipment and connectivity requirements include a direct Ethernet connection, approved headset brands, and up-to-date browser/PC specs. Pay is provided per available hour, with work-from-home arrangements, opportunities for growth, and a May 2026 start date.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in medical interpretation or a related field
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Remote interpretation experience in both languages is mandatory
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- HIPAA compliance
- Ethernet connection (direct to router); wired connection required
- Headset and microphone requirements (brands: Logitech H390, Jabra GN, Plantronics Blackwire C3220(Poly), Microsoft Lifechat LX-6000)
- Browser requirements (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox)
- Processor: i5 or higher, 6th generation or newer
- Camera: 1080p minimum
- Full-time availability, 5 days a week (2 days off)
