Job Summary
Provide professional interpreting services in healthcare settings, translating orally between Spanish and English for medical professionals, patients, government agencies, and community organizations. Deliver accurate, complete, and clear interpretation with high fidelity to the original communication while working effectively with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Maintain a valid California license and obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination records and background checks, as necessary. Assignments are based in Fresno on a regular basis depending on demand and interpreter qualifications. Required Qualifications
- Fluency in both Spanish and English
- Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with the highest level of fidelity to the original communication
- Strong ability to interpret orally between Spanish and English in both directions
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
- Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
- Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
- Possession of a valid California license
