Job Summary
Provide virtual Spanish language instruction to improve proficiency across Listening, Reading, and Speaking (DLPT/OPI/ILR 0+–3), including regional/cultural topics using blended-learning approaches. Develop lesson plans, assess and tailor instruction to student levels, review and grade assignments, and maintain a positive virtual learning environment. Collaborate with Site Lead, POI analyst, or Language Instructional Developer to address curriculum gaps; utilize POI and GOVT-approved materials. Remote delivery with requirements for technology access; experience with online platforms like CL-150 or Blackboard is preferred. Bachelor's degree and US citizenship required.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Educated native speaker or near-native capability in listening, reading, and speaking with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent
- Experience in providing foreign language instruction via virtual environment
- Understanding of cultural, social, and political environment of the foreign language region
- Ability to create blended learning lessons and tailor materials to customer needs
- Access to Windows computer, webcam, headset with microphone, phone or smart tablet, and high-speed internet connection
