Job Summary
Gather, enter, and verify information for individuals and families impacted by recent events while managing a high volume of inbound calls in an emergency contact center environment. Adhere to established customer service and documentation standards to support callers navigating difficult and challenging situations during times of crisis. Maintain flexible availability to work a variety of shifts, including the ability to begin with as little as 24 hours notice, while ensuring regular and timely attendance. Fluently speak, read, and write both Spanish and English to effectively assist callers. This seasonal role supports the GDIT team in helping citizens through critical moments, requiring onsite work at the El Paso facility with potential remote options after training.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Texas residency living in El Paso county
- Flexible availability and be willing to work a variety of shifts
- An ability to speak, read, and write both Spanish and English fluently
- An ability and willingness to begin work with as little as 24 hours notice
- An ability and willingness to work ONSITE, as required
- Access to 10 Mbps of download speed and 1 Mbps of upload speed of dedicated internet bandwidth (satellite provided internet service will not qualify)
- An ability to manage crisis situations and support callers during difficult and emotional times
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- An ability to successfully pass a government background check
- Regular and timely attendance related to assigned work schedules including breaks and lunches
