Job Summary
Conduct screening and intake interviews to determine applicant appropriateness for program admission, determining care levels for supervisory review. Enter all screening and follow-up contacts into the electronic database, ensuring documentation is completed per agency policy. Provide post-screening contact and follow-up to assigned applicants on the eligibility or wait list to facilitate timely admission or referrals. Deliver psycho-educational lectures and therapeutic groups related to chemical dependency while serving as a liaison to patients' families and community agencies. Offer monthly analysis of admissions regarding census and referral sources, and provide outreach and educational services to the local community, schools, and groups.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be bilingual Spanish
- Must have a CASAC-T
- At least One (1) year experience conducting Substance Use screenings/intake or substance abuse counseling preferably within a Medication Assisted Program
- Good working knowledge of community social service resources
- Ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner the agency's eligibility criterion and its treatment continuum of care
- Knowledge of and experience working with persons with co-occurring disorders
- Knowledge of Client Rights
- Knowledge of Code of Ethics
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds
