Job Summary
Copyedit devotional and study materials for Spanish Bibles and related products, ensuring factual, grammatical, and theological accuracy. Proofread typeset pages for compliance with editorial standards and review covers, packaging, and marketing materials for consistency. Maintain content clarity and accessibility for Spanish-speaking readers while coordinating across departments and outside partners. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe markup tools. Candidates must submit English and Spanish writing samples and pass an editorial test. Full-time role at Tyndale House Publishers, one of the world's largest independently owned Christian publishers.
Required Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- College degree in a relevant field, or equivalent editorial experience
- Solid grounding in the Bible and evangelical Christian thought
- Strong command of Spanish and English, including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation
- Open to learning and receptive to feedback
- Able to self-manage across multiple overlapping short- and long-term projects
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Disciplined, productive, and reliable
- Comfortable coordinating and communicating across departments and with outside partners
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe markup tools
- Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God's Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith
