Job Summary
Develop and define mission control concepts, command center displays, and operational procedures for lunar orbiter and lander missions. Collect subsystem requirements, configure user interfaces, and create automated scripts to support ground systems integration and testing. Conduct real-time spacecraft flight operations, prepare for mission rehearsal simulations, and develop detailed operations plans. Analyze performance data during flight, support anomaly investigations, and act as a Flight Controller for specific missions. Located in Cape Canaveral, Florida, this role reports to the Vice President, Advanced Technology within the Advanced Technology group.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with on-orbit spacecraft operations and related ground systems
- Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field
- Familiarity with satellite subsystems
- Understanding of orbital mechanics including Keplerian elements
- Basic understanding of C++ and Python scripting
- Experience in design of spacecraft control interfaces and/or procedures
- Self-starter who works with a sense of urgency
- Ability to adapt to change in an entrepreneurial environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations under ITAR and EAR, applicant must be a U.S. citizen residing in the U.S., or a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. ("Green Card" holder)
- Final candidate must pass a background investigation that may include employment verification, criminal check, education check, drug screening, credit check and/or driving record check depending on the position

- Masters of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field an asset
