Job Summary
Design, development, and testing of spacecraft avionics systems. Own the electrical architecture, test and integrate avionics components, lead design verification and acceptance testing, and coordinate with software, mechanical, propulsion, fluids, and structures teams. Develop and execute vehicle assembly procedures and electrical system functional validation. Lead high-level design and development of avionics for current and future spacecraft; develop verification and qualification plans; coordinate with manufacturing and other engineers to execute; provide recommendations for system upgrades. Requires BS in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of aerospace experience; hands-on circuit prototyping, lab test, and formal requirement verification; strong skills in analog/digital design, test equipment, Python, and technical writing. U.S. citizen or compliant status per ITAR is required for employment; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace component development, testing, integration, or operations
- Experience in analog and digital circuit design
- Usage of test equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, electronic loads, multimeters) and interpreting electrical schematics
- Experience performing trade studies and sensitivity studies
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Requirement writing and verification
- Experience in technical writing and SOP creation
- Proactive self-starter
- Experience with Python
