Job Summary
Execute real-time satellite command and control operations, including telemetry analysis and anomaly resolution for 16 Low-Earth Orbit missiles warning satellites. Conduct mission planning, launch and early orbit checkout, and configure ground systems using Navy Research Lab tools. Assist with training development, checklist updates, and troubleshooting network issues while attending daily stand-ups and shift changeovers. Provide operational inputs to engineering and test teams. Requires active Secret security clearance, Associate of Science degree or equivalent with four years of relevant experience, and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts in a 24/7/365 environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- Associate of Science degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience
- Minimum of high school diploma and 4 years of prior relevant experience or an Associate of Science degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in planning, organizing, and successfully executing tasks
- Desire to train and certify as a Satellite Vehicle Operator (SVO) to successfully execute satellite operations support tasks
- Some travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Satellite Vehicle Operator experience, to include telemetry, tracking and command, spacecraft procedures
- Bachelor of Science degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with Department of Defense space programs
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis to identify failure causes and develop resolutions
- Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks through completion
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment
