Job Summary
Space Systems Engineer responsible for defining mission requirements and system design across space and ground segments, including development of mission statements, system budgets (link, mass, power), subsystem specifications, and interface definitions; tasks include orbit and constellation analysis, launch feasibility, test and integration oversight, and collaboration with satellite manufacturers, ground segment operators, customers, and research/government institutes. The role involves drafting project proposals/funding documents, managing procurement, coordinating with external partners and ESA, and delivering monthly progress reports. Requires MSc in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, ECSS knowledge, CubeSat experience, project management, and ability to travel monthly to Luxembourg; strong communication, autonomy, and teamwork skills, with fluency in English. Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering or a similar qualification from a recognized institution
- Knowledge of ECSS standards
- Experience with CubeSat projects
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Eligibility for monthly travel to the Luxembourg office
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter who works with a sense of urgency
- Ability to adapt to change in an entrepreneurial environment
