Job Summary
Lead Systems Engineer for Space Warfighting Analysis Center in Colorado Springs supporting SWAC FDIO; conduct technical analysis by assessing interdependencies of space architectures and operations, articulate space system design recommendations and trade space decisions based on warfighting impact, respond to quick-turnaround taskers with documented technical analysis, and support SWAC leadership and high-visibility capability studies and studies involving space-based capabilities; requires TS/SCI with Poly, a STEM Bachelor’s degree, strong technical background, excellent written and oral communication, and 8+ years in space operations or space acquisition, including experience with satellite communication, navigation, and/or ground infrastructure, as well as knowledge of DoD/IC and commercial satellite systems; role involves collaboration with Space Force leadership, DoD leadership, and Congressional committees.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/Poly (existing poly or willingness to submit to one)
- STEM Bachelor’s degree
- Strong technical background
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- 8+ years space operations or space acquisition experience
- Experience with satellite communication systems
- Experience with satellite navigation systems
- Experience with satellite ground infrastructure
- Experience with space design and/or architecture development
- Experience with DoD, IC, and commercial satellite systems
- Experience working in SCI/SAP environment
