Job Summary
Support and lead systems engineering tasks for space subsystems, payloads, and vehicles, including requirements analysis, architecture development, systems modeling, and verification and validation planning. Execute mission engineering, trade studies, and interface definition while managing technical planning, cost analysis, and risk assessments for Class A to Class D missions. Utilize tools such as DOORS, STK, and MATLAB to drive concept and product development from early design through on-orbit operational support. This role resides within Northrop Grumman's Eastern Region Systems Engineering team, focusing on delivering intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions for space-based missions.
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access
- U.S. Citizenship
- Systems engineering experience (i.e. requirements, mission engineering, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, verification and validation)
- Bachelor Degree in STEM curriculum with 2 years relevant experience; or a MS Degree
- Bachelor Degree in STEM curriculum with 5 years relevant experience; 3 years with MS Degree; or PhD with 0 years of experience

- Space experience
- Sensor/payload experience: Antennas Radar EO/IR Communications Processing, specifically On-Board Processing
- Space vehicle experience
- Space ground systems architecture and design experience
- Mission engineering, modeling and simulation
- Space Mission CONOPS Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T)
