Job Summary
Postgraduate-level instructor and curriculum developer responsible for delivering and developing Space Operations courseware for the National Security Space Institute (NSSI) at Peterson SFB, CO. Instructs in SME areas, designs and maintains lesson plans within ISD guidelines, coordinates with government civilian and contractor personnel to meet customer specifications, and delivers all aspects of course execution. Requires knowledge of DoD, commercial civil space operations, and related systems; strong ability to interface with agencies to keep educational materials up to date; travel up to 25% annually, including weekends. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in a relevant field and a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and demonstrated experience with DoD training/education and ISD-based instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in relevant field
- Security Clearance: Top-Secret clearance and SCI eligibility required
- Working knowledge of USSF Space Competencies
- Working knowledge of Commercial, Civil, and DOD space capabilities and operations
- Working knowledge and experience with training and education systems and programs
- Working knowledge of DoD Operational level command and control
- Working knowledge of US Space strategies, policies and doctrine
- Working knowledge of United States Combatant Commands
- Familiarity with USSF organizations, Guardian development and strategic direction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with DoD training/education, including ISD model, training records keeping and documentation
- Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or equivalent Joint Service or civilian course/degree
