Job Summary

Establish and meet the budget and financial goals of the organization by developing retail sales plans, managing seasonal utilization patterns, and ensuring fiscal responsibility through efficient staff scheduling. Lead and motivate staff to achieve guest expectations by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training personnel while maintaining high service standards defined in Salamander Spa SOPs and brand promises. Implement a strategic marketing plan and public relations strategy to position the facility competitively, monitor guest feedback via surveys and comment cards, and ensure compliance with state licensing and health requirements. Provide necessary financial reporting to corporate and client accounting departments, manage inventory systems for supplies and equipment, and assist with writing press releases when applicable. This role requires varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a Bachelor's degree or comparable spa management experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree or comparable spa management experience
  • 3+ years of successful spa management experience
  • Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments
  • Knowledge of retail operations and inventory systems
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
  • Creative in marketing and promotions
  • Sales oriented
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Normal work hours: Varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficient in spa software and Microsoft Office products
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to see differences in widths and length of lines such as those on graphs
  • Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment
  • Must be able to communicate with others
  • Must be able to effectively deal with customers
  • Must be able to accept constructive criticism from supervisors
  • Must be able to change activity frequently
  • Must be able to cope with interruptions
