Job Summary
Spa Manager oversees daily spa, pool, and fitness operations with financial oversight (budgets, forecasting, payroll, scheduling), inventory and retail merchandising, and staff leadership. Partners with Sales and Conference Planning to drive spa services for group guests, ensures cleanliness and safety of public areas and treatment spaces, maintains preventative maintenance procedures, recruits and retains high-performing spa personnel, conducts regular staff trainings, develops wellness programs, and implements strategic plans to meet financial goals while protecting margin. Requires knowledge of Spa Soft or similar POS/booking software, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage guest satisfaction, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays as needed. Located at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, WA, USA with priority on guest-first hospitality and a people-first culture.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed massage therapist or esthetician preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Spa operations or related field
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Knowledge of POS/Booking Software (Spa Soft) preferred
- Excellent Interpersonal, communication and listening skills – with both external and internal customers
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of quality and cleanliness
- Analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure
- Engaging, adaptable, and proactive leader with strong communication skills and a guest-first mindset
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings and evenings covering reception shifts and supporting the floor as needed
